AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Richmond County deputies are investigating an apparent murder-suicide.

On Sunday, deputies responded to shots on the 3500 block of Crawfordville Drive around 1:30 a.m.

When they arrived at the scene, they found the bodies of 37-year-old Angela Lee and 34-year-old Timothy Lee of Augusta.

Officials at Fort Gordon have confirmed that one of the people involved was a soldier stationed at Fort Gordon.

Authorities say the two had an argument, resulting in the man shooting the woman. They say he then turned the weapon on himself.

Both died of gunshot wounds, according to the Richmond County Coroner's Office.

Autopsies will be performed in Augusta at the GBI Crime Lab on Tuesday.
