AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Superintendent Dr. Frank Roberson says two Glenn Hills Elementary students who went missing from campus are now back in school custody.

School system administrators say the two male students left campus during a class change and walked across the street to Walmart.

"The other little boy don't like to go to school, so he recruited my child to skip school with him, and I told him in order to get a job and decent life, you got to go to school to get an education. There's no way around it," said Mary Allen, the mother of one of the boys.

The mother says she wants to meet with the school to find a way to prevent kids from walking off campus.
