BELVEDERE, S.C. -- Two suspects are in custody, accused in several robberies spanning multiple counties.
Saul Edward Saylors, 41, and Robbie Lee Mauzon, 31, were taken into custody in Belvedere Wednesday night. Investigators say the two suspects robbed the Jewelers Bench store in Augusta before speeding off and heading into South Carolina.
The duo is also suspected in armed robberies in Kershaw, Lexington and Richland counties in South Carolina.
They do not have any charges against them in North Augusta at this time, but investigators will be questioning them to see if they are connected to any unsolved cases.
Mauzon has been transferred to Lexington County. His charges in Lexington County include robbery and kidnapping.
