NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW) -- Two men are on the run after allegedly trying to hold up a restaurant early this morning.

One of the suspects put a gun to the head of a Waffle House employee just after midnight, investigators said.

According to the incident report, the worker was outside of the restaurant on Edgefield Road when one suspect put him in a headlock, put a gun to his head and said "You gonna give us that money."

The worker says the two suspects tried to drag him into the store, but he was able to get away.

The suspects were last seen running behind the restaurant building, officers said.
