UPDATE | Driver indicted in 2014 crash killing Burke County real estate agent pleads not guilty

BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- According to the Burke County Clerk of Court, the woman accused of killing a local real estate agent pleads not guilty.

April Dubose is indicted on ten charges including homicide by vehicle in the first degree and possession of marijuana, in connection to the crash that took place in February 2014.

BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- The woman accused of killing a local real estate agent has been indicted on 10 different counts.

April Nicole Dubose, who was the other driver involved in the fatal crash that killed Leah Brumfield back in February of last year, was indicted on 10 different counts including: homicide by vehicle in the first degree and possession of marijuana. Police say it was later discovered that Dubose caused the crash while under the influence of drugs.

BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- An accident this morning on Highway 56 South and Byne Sunshine Road killed a local woman.

Leah Brumfield, a real estate agent for Hawkins & Whitaker, died in the accident that happened at 7:42 a.m., Major Nikki Bailey with the Burke County Sheriff's Office said.

The driver of a Kia Sorento, April Nicole Dubose, traveling east on Rosier Road failed to stop at a stop sign and hit the Honda Civic, driven by Brumfield, the Georgia State Patrol said.

Brumfield's two passengers were transported to Georgia Regents Health System. Dubose and her three passengers were injured and transported to Georgia Regents Health System, as well.

All five passengers were children, GSP said. The passengers in the Honda were ages 13 and 3. The passengers in the Kia were ages 9, 6, and 5.

As of Friday afternoon, the hospital said Dubose was in good condition.

Georgia State Patrol said charges are pending the completion of the investigation.

Update

A memorial fund at Queensborough Bank has been set up for Brumfield, the money will be used for her children.
