AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Richmond County deputies are investigating a suspected meth lab in an Augusta neighborhood.

The home is on Ponderosa Drive off Eisenhower Drive.

Two people, 18-year-old Dana Lynn Bryant and 29-year-old James Allen Barrow, were arrested and are being questioned in Columbia County about unrelated counterfeit charges.

Bryant and Barrow are being charged with trafficking, manufacturing meth and manufacturing meth in the presence of a child.

Bryant has a criminal history in Columbia County, including arrests for simple battery in August 2012 and December 2012 and forgery in February of this year.

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office says the pair had been living at the home with an 83-year-old grandmother and a 3-year-old child. The grandmother and child were examined by EMS but are said to be OK.

Investigators from the Secret Service, Richmond County and Columbia County went to the home as part of a joint investigation into a counterfeit ring on Wednesday.

While investigators were inside the home, they say they found 5 grams of meth and two meth labs, one in a bedroom and the other in a carport.

A Hazmat team from Atlanta is cleaning up the labs. Depending on the Hazmat team's findings, the house may not be livable.
