AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The public will have the opportunity to submit questions to the Richmond County superintendent finalist this week.

A portion of Dr. Angela Pringle's interview will be open to the public and anyone in the audience can submit questions for the board to ask, the Richmond County Board of Education said. The board will ask 10 random questions from the audience, time permitting.

The interview will be held at the Board of Education Boardroom on Aug. 15 at 1 p.m. The rest of the interview will be done behind closed doors with the help of the Georgia School Board Association.

Pringle served as the Region 2 Superintendent for Dekalb County Schools and was announced as the Richmond County Superintendent finalist on Aug. 4.

Anyone with questions or comments has until Aug. 18 to reach out to the board with comment and leave messages at their office line: 706-724-0558 during the 14 days of public comment.

Also, the Richmond County Board of Education approved the millage rate to drop to 19.972 mils in 2015 compared to last year’s rate of 19.982.
