Possible medical emergency ends in fatal 3-car collision

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW) -- A reckless driver call turns into a head-on collision ending in a fatality, the Aiken Department of Public Safety confirms.

ADPS says a call came in around 11 Saturday morning. The car driving recklessly drove head-on into a mini van between Whiskey Road and Silver Bluff Road. The collision involved three cars.

An 82-year-old man was the man driving recklessly and was pronounced dead shortly after the accident.

A sergeant with ADPS says the man may have had a medical emergency that made him crash.
