AUGUSTA (WRDW) -- Plans are moving forward to open a new drug rehab center in Augusta.

Yesterday, members of the Augusta Planning Commission signed off on a resolution to open the clinic off Bennock Mill Road. It does not require approval from the Augusta Commission.

When News 12 first broke this story in July last year, people living near the proposed site were angry and upset about the plan. However, yesterday's vote was unanimous with no opposition from the neighborhood.

The new clinic is expected to bring 75 jobs and millions of dollars in investment into Augusta.
