Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW) -- Public Safety officers and firefighters evacuate a building after freezing temperatures causes a pipe to burst.

It happened at K Beauty Supply just after two this afternoon. The store is located on Edgefield Road.

The call started out as a collapsed roof, but Public Safety says the problem was caused by a busted pipe. Officers say part of the ceiling did cave in.

No one was injured and clean up is underway.
