AUGUSTA, Ga. -- News 12 has learned a pedestrian has died after being struck by a car Thursday morning.
It happened around 7:15 a.m. on the 3200 block of Wrightsboro Road, right in front of Augusta State University's athletic campus.
Nelson Norris, 38, was hit by a Honda CRV while trying to cross the road. He died from his injuries at 11:30 a.m.
Investigators say the pedestrian is at fault in the accident for "darting into traffic."
