AUGUSTA, Ga. -- News 12 has learned the name of the pedestrian was hit and killed on Washington Road Tuesday night.
Deputy Coroner Johnny McDonald says the victim is 48-year-old Rapha Ray Felts from Washington, N.C.
McDonald says Felts was in the area on a construction job.
Felts was hit by a Chevrolet truck traveling eastbound on Washington Road around 8:30 p.m.
Sgt. Danny Whitehead said the driver was not arrested and that "there will be no charges at this time."
McDonald says Felts died of blunt force trauma to the head and body.
This is the second person who has been hit and killed in the past 24 hours in Augusta.
