Pedestrian hit on Skinner Mill Road in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Deputies are working to learn more about a pedestrian who was struck just before 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

It happened on the 3100 block of Skinner Mill Road near its intersection with Warren Road.

An ambulance was called to the scene after one person was hit by a car in the road. There is no word on the condition of the pedestrian.

No one has been charged at this time.

This is the second pedestrian struck by a vehicle in less than 12 hours. Another incident took place on Windsor Spring Road just before midnight. That pedestrian is recovering at the hospital and is in stable condition.
