Emanuel County Sheriff J. Tyson Stephens confirms a pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle near Canoochee, Georgia.

EMANUEL COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle near Canoochee, Emanuel County Sheriff J. Tyson Stephens said.

On Aug. 2, Maurice Clark, 37, was hit by a vehicle on Georgia Highway 192 near Canoochee Road. The driver did not stay at the scene and has not been identified.

The Sheriff's Office along with the Georgia State Patrol's Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team are investigating the incident. If you have any information about the incident, contact investigator David Way at 478-237-7526.
