Pedestrian dies in accident on Highway 25

JENKINS COUNTY, Ga. -- News 12 has just learned a pedestrian died after an accident on Highway 25 South Monday morning.
Jenkins County Coroner Henry Young says 60-year-old David Lawrence was found dead at the scene from multiple blunt force traumas.
The Georgia State Patrol says Lawrence tried to cross the highway at 5:55 a.m., which is when he stepped into the path of a Nissan Altima.
Investigators say the driver will not be charged in the accident.
