AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta Mayor Deke Copenhaver has confirmed the Patch is now back in the hands of the city, effective immediately.
Copenhaver says they were unable to reach an agreement with the company that wanted to operate the municipal golf course.
The operators, three brothers from Augusta, had wanted the city to fix a leaky roof and busted air conditioning before a deal was signed.
The course will most likely be put up for bidding unless both sides come up with a compromise soon.
