AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The Par 3 Party in Augusta is the second canceled event during this year's Masters Week, the Greater Augusta Arts Council confirmed.

The Arts Council decided to nix the event because of inadequate volunteer resources, Brenda Durant said. The Council will now focus on other new programs, she said.

In past years, artists, music and vendors packed the Augusta Commons on the Wednesday of Masters Week.

Earlier this week, the annual Mayor's Masters Reception was cancelled because the council didn't have an honoree to acknowledge.
