AIKEN, SC (WRDW) -- Troopers in Aiken County arrested a man after they say he fled from a license checkpoint.

Aiken Public Safety Officers were conducting a license checkpoint Thursday morning at Whiskey Road at Grace Avenue in Aiken, when they say 21-year-old Dillon Dennis pulled up to the intersection, opened his door, and then suddenly drove away.

Officers put out stop sticks, and the vehicle eventually stopped at Edgefield Highway and Shiloh Heights Road.

Dennis is being charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, and failing to stop for blue lights.
