On Your Side: Job fairs set for Thursday

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Two job fairs are looking to help job seekers in our area on Thursday.

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) and the Greater Augusta Employer Committee will co-sponsor a career expo featuring about 50 employers on June 26.

When: 1-4 p.m.
Where: Georgia Regents University's Christenberry Field House, 3109 Wrightsboro Road
Extra: A workshop on interviewing skills for job seekers will be held at 12 p.m.

There will be over 1,100 job positions available at the Military Career Fair at Fort Gordon.

When: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Where: U.S. Army Reserve Center, Fort Gordon
Extra: The current participating agencies (GDC, Georgia National Guard, Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Public Safety, Veterans Vocational Rehabilitation, Georgia Correctional Healthcare, DeKalb County Police Department, and Cobb County Department of Public Safety) have many jobs available for military personnel returning from duty.
