AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW) - Officers are looking for two people who attempted to rob one store and then robbed another business while officers were still on the first crime scene three miles away.
Aiken Department of Public Safety responded to an attempted armed robbery around 9 a.m. at Title Max located at 1320 Richland Ave. W. in Aiken, S.C. Employees saw a person trying to break into the business and called 911.
Officers were also called by a business next door, who said a witness told them they saw two people wearing all black with their faces covered, attempting to break into the Title Max.
The Aiken Department of Public Safety would like that witness to contact them for more information.
While officers were on scene at Title Max, a second armed robbery was reported at Local Finance located at 1163 York St., just three miles from the first reported robbery attempt.
According to the report, a witness said the suspects at the second robbery were also dressed in all black with their faces covered. The suspects went into the business with handguns and demanded money. They were given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene on foot.
