NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW) -- Bergen Road at West Martintown Road in North Augusta was closed temporarily after an 18-wheeler overturned Tuesday night, according to Lt. Tim Thornton with North Augusta Public Safety.

The driver lost control of the truck and it overturned around 9:30 p.m., Thornton said. Thornton said speed may have been a factor in the accident.

South Carolina Highway Patrol says it could be closed until Wednesday morning, according to Thornton. The driver was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
