AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Judge Albert Pickett has decided Steven Lawrence Allen will stay in jail until his trial begins.

Allen was in court Friday morning for a bond hearing. Richmond County prosecutors say Allen shot and killed a mother and wounded her son and daughter. He is charged with murder, two counts of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon during a crime.

The shooting happened on Biltmore Place in the Meadowbrook community on April 16.

Richmond County investigators say after shooting Linda Crumbley, her son Mario Crumbley and daughter Dekrizia Crumbley, Allen went to visit a friend in Vidalia, Ga.

Judge Pickett did not grant Allen's bond, saying he was a flight risk.
