New renewable energy facility brings 10 job openings

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Augusta Renewable Energy LLC will build its first Georgia anaerobic digestion facility in Augusta bringing with it 10 new jobs.

According to a release, the company will invest approximately $20,000,000.

“We welcome Augusta Renewable Energy to Augusta, and we are excited to have this company as part of our corporate community," Augusta Mayor Deke Copenhaver said. "Green energy is the wave of the future, and Augusta Renewable Energy will do their part to make sure we are efficient in our energy needs in the years to come.”
