NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. -- The North Augusta City Council is meeting Monday night -- and a new park could be on the horizon.
The city is looking to enter into an agreement with the North Augusta Riverfront Company to bring more business to Hammond's Ferry.
The city plans to build the park and a new road along the Savannah River. In return, the company will construct 20,000 square feet of retail space.
This is a five-year agreement, but construction could begin early next year.
News 12 will have more details tonight at 11 o'clock.
