EVANS, Ga. (WRDW) -- New "no left turn" signs are installed at the intersection of Washington Road and Knob Hill Farm Road, Columbia County EMA said.
After high-traffic weekday crashes at or near the intersection, Columbia County and the Georgia Department of Transportation prohibited westbound traffic on Washington Road from making a left turn onto Knob Hill Farm Road.
Signs say drivers are not allowed to turn left from 4-6 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
After a grace period, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said it will begin ticketing for violations.
Columbia County and the Georgia Department of Transportation confirm the prohibition will be removed after a portion of Washington Road is widened in the near future.
