NADPS involved in accident in North Augusta, 1 sent to hospital

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW) -- An accident involving a North Augusta Department of Public Safety officer sends one person to the hospital, NADPS said.

The accident happened on Knox Avenue at Summerhill Road shortly after 1 p.m. An elderly woman, driving the other vehicle, was sent to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, NADPS said.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is also at the scene.

No word on how the accident happened.
