Multiple-car accident causes backup in Aiken

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW) -- A multiple-vehicle accident has backed up traffic on East Pine Log Road around Two Notch Road in Aiken, dispatch said.

Injuries were reported, but no word on how those affected are doing. Drivers were advised to avoid the area as of 12:30 p.m. on Friday. The traffic was clear a few hours later.

A Jeep and a Volvo collided when the Volvo tried to turn onto East Pine Log Road from Two Notch Road and hit the jeep, officials on the scene said.

There was one adult in the Volvo and one adult an a 8 to 10-year-old child in the Jeep. All three were taken to GRU with serious injuries.
