THOMSON, GA (WRDW) -- A 16-year-old male has been charged as an adult for the murder of a Thomson man.
GBI say 38-year-old Reginald Roberts was killed on Manassas Drive in Thomson. They say it appears Roberts had been stabbed.
Thomson Police got the call just after 1 o'clock this morning. When officers arrived they found one person dead.
The juvenile is being charged with one count of murder and one count of possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.
The juvenile was taken to the McDuffie County Detention Center then transported to the Augusta Regional Youth Detention Center where he will be detained.
An autopsy will be performed at the GBI Crime Lab in Decatur.
GBI says the investigation is ongoing. Upon completion, the case will be turned over to the Toombs Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
