AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW) -- A wanted mother has been found by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office after allegedly fleeing with her children.
Investigators say 24-year-old Erica Timpson defied a family court order, took her children and threatened to harm them.
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office says Timpson and her three children, 4-year-old Eriyana Timpson and 2-year-old twins Janiah and Jeremiah Griffin, were found in Richmond County.
The South Carolina Department of Social Services obtained a court order placing Timpson’s children in the custody of the Department of Social Services on June 5, the Sheriff's Office said.
Timpson knew of the court order, but allegedly proceeded to take her children from the alternative caregiver’s home and flee Aiken County, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Investigators say Timpson and her children were dropped off at a convenience store on Broad Street in Augusta.
