NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW) -- More than 1,000 pounds of unwanted prescription drugs were dropped off in the CSRA as a part of this year's National Drug Take Back Day.
According to the Drug Enforcement Administration, the rates for drug abuse in the U.S. are alarmingly high. That's also the same for accidental poisonings and overdoses.
Last October, Americans turned over 324 tons of prescription drugs.
