UPDATE: Arrest made in connection to stolen maps

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW) -- A suspect has been arrested in connection to the theft of maps from Aiken City Hall.

The Aiken Department of Public Safety says 42-year-old Katherine Silas of Warrenville was identified through a Crimestoppers tip and turned herself in Monday morning.

Silas is charged with simple larceny.

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW) -- The Aiken Department of Public Safety wants your help in identifying the person accused of stealing maps from City Hall.

The maps of the Dougherty Road corridor study were taken on Tuesday morning.

The person in the surveillance photos is wanted for simple larceny.

If you have any information, call Crimestoppers of the Midlands at 888-CRIME-SC (888-274-6372). Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.
