AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Security is tightened after a man attempts to drive down Magnolia Lane through the gates of Augusta National, according to Capt. Scott Gay.

Gay is head of security for the Richmond County Sheriff's Office during Masters week.

Around 8:40 last night, 50-year-old Joseph John Murphy was told he was not allowed to enter the course and then he left. According to reports, he returned 10 minutes later in his vehicle.

Murphy was arrested by deputies and charged with criminal trespass.
