Man shot twice at home Sunday afternoon

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- A man is recovering from two gunshot wounds after an attempted robbery at his home Sunday afternoon, according to an incident report.

Christopher Jones, 33, reported he was meeting with the suspect at his home on Kent St. when the man pulled out a handgun and tried to rob him. Jones told deputies there was a struggle and the suspect ran out the front door while firing the gun. Jones was shot in the hand and thigh.

Deputies found bullet holes and shell casings at the home, according to the incident report.
