COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- A man will spend 15 yeas in prison after holding his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint.

John D. Maynard, 42, must serve his 15-year prison sentence without the possibility of parole after he kidnapped a 44-year-old woman from her Columbia County home at gunpoint.

Maynard made her withdraw $1,750 from the Burger King on Washington Road where she worked in January.

Investigators say he also ordered her to drive to the Georgia Bank and Trust in Martinez and withdraw $360. The victim was then dropped off in Columbia County.

Here's the original report.
