AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Derrick L. Thompkins, 25, plead not guilty on charges related to a double fatal hit-and-run on White Road.

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office said Jerry Mims, 58, and Tonya Lane, 44, from Augusta were hit and killed during the Nov. 2, 2013 accident.

Thompkins was indicted in early Feburary on two felony counts of homicide by vehicle in the first-degree and one misdemeanor count of driving with a suspended license.
