Man indicted after allegedly failing to stop for bus, killing boy

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The man accused of hitting an 8-year-old child on Dec. 9, 2013 has been indicted on vehicular homicide and reckless driving charges.

Scott William Hancock is accused of failing to stop for a school bus and hitting Jaidyn Williams, 8.

Investigators said Jaidyn was walking across the westbound lanes of Belair Road on his way to the school bus when witnesses say he was struck by Hancock's van.

Jaidyn was taken to GRU ER and died from his injuries.
