Man, grandson killed after running stop sign in Burke County

BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) - Burke County Sheriff's office confirms a man and his grandson are dead after running a stop sign.

The sheriff's office reports the driver ran a stop sign on Highway 80 East at about 9 p.m.

The car was hit by a logging truck, according to the report. The man and his grandson were sitting in the front seat. The female that was in the backseat is in critical condition at GRU.

The names have yet to be released.
