AUGUSTA (WRDW) -- It took 25 years to solve a woman's murder and the man responsible will have a long time to think about her death.

News 12 has confirmed Jimmy Lee Riley was convicted for killing 87-year old Pauline McCoy and sentenced to life in prison plus 25 years for burglary and having a knife during the crime.

The crime happened back in 1986, but Riley was not arrested until June 2012 after investigators took a second look at the evidence.
