Update:Man carrying chainsaw and lead police on a chase, arrested on several charges

AIKEN COUNTY (WRDW) -- The man who lead police on chase down the Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks is being held on several charges, including burglary.

Charlie Gene Wenner is being held in the Aiken County jail, charged with failure to comply, disorderly conduct/gross intoxication, trespassing on railroad tracks, burglary in the 2nd degree, burglary in the 3rd degree, and urinating in public.

Wenner was arrested Monday afternoon, after leading officers on a chase down the Norfolk Southern tracks from the courthouse to the Union Street Bridge. He was carrying a chainsaw and a bag a unidentified items.

This is not Wenner's first run in with the law, he has been arrested several times since 2002 for charges including burglary, criminal domestic violence, possession of stolen goods, breaking into a motor vehicle, and other charges.

AIKEN COUNTY (WRDW) -- A man leads police on a chase on the Norfolk Southern tracks from the courthouse to the Union Street Bridge.

According to officers, Charlie Gene Wenner was suspiciously carrying a chainsaw and a bag of unidentified items. He was also urinating on the tracks.

Aiken Department of Public Safety is questioning Wenner to determine if he's responsible for any other crimes, primarily burglary.

Wenner is being charged with disorderly conduct, failure to comply, and trespassing on a railroad.
