CHICAGO (AP) -- A 44-year-old man is facing charges in Illinois for holding police at bay for more than eight hours during a chase and standoff on Chicago's iconic Lake Shore Drive.
Police say Tuesday that Joseph Felton is charged with attempt first-degree murder, aggravated battery, fleeing police and being a fugitive. He's expected to appear in Cook County's bond court later in the day.
Felton was arrested late Sunday, hours after his car crashed in Chicago following a chase from a nearby suburb.
The chase injured four people, although none of their injuries were life-threatening.
Police say Felton's address is listed as University Park, Ill. But he's wanted in connection with a murder earlier this month in Hampton, Ga., about 30 miles from Atlanta.
Police say Felton was armed with knives.
