LINCOLNTON, Ga. (WRDW) -- A day long search ends with one man in custody in Lincoln County.

Deputies arrested Charles Wayne Young, 52, of Overlook Road, after the Sheriff's Office received complaints of shots being fired.

When crews arrived to the scene around 10:30 Sunday morning, they couldn't find the man. The Columbia County Sheriff's Office K9 team was called in later in the afternoon to help with the search.

Shortly after their arrival, the suspect was arrested without
incident at about 3:00 p.m. Young was arrested on an out of county probation warrant from Jonesboro, Georgia.

According to Sheriff Bruce Beggs, investigators are continuing to investigate the report of shots fired, and it has not been
determined if the shots were fired as a part of target practice or
offensively.

Young is being held by Beggs' office while the investigation is ongoing.
