TENNILLE, Ga. (WRDW) -- Officers made a drug arrest Wednesday morning after a joint investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies.
Officers seized 1 ounce of methamphetamine, a handgun, scales and packaging materials after searching a home on Tennille-Oconee Road.
John West Veal, 52, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule III narcotic with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and obstruction of an officer.
Veal already had two outstanding warrants from 2012 for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office, the Sandersville Police Department, the Tennille Police Department, and the Middle Georgia Regional Drug Enforcement Office assisted in the investigation.
