Man accused of making threats to 'blow up' Evans DDS

Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- A man has been arrested for terroristic threats and acts after an incident at a Department of Driver Services office on Tuesday.

An employee at the DDS on Evans to Locks Road said she was helping Anthony Garrett when he became irate after she told him he needed to take one more class before his driver's license could be reinstated.

The employee claims Garrett said he "ought to come back and blow up the building."

Two other employees who were working nearby said they heard the same statement.

Garrett was later picked up at his home and taken to the Columbia County Detention Center.
