AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The man accused in a fatal hit-and-run was denied bond on Friday.
The judge says 35-year-old Christopher Provost is a threat to the community.
Provost is charged with felony hit-and-run and felony vehicular homicide in the death of 42-year-old Dennis John Skillman.
Deputies say Skillman was riding his bike to work and was wearing a reflective vest when he was hit on Mike Padgett Highway Wednesday morning.
Skillman's sister, Wendy Rosier, was in the courtroom Friday.
"It's too soon to to even think about forgiving him for what he's done -- he left him on the side of the road like a piece of trash -- I don't know if i could ever forgive him," she said.
Rosier says she and Skillman's girlfriend are having a hard time coping with the loss.
