HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (AP) -- Lois West, the 92-year-old widow of former South Carolina Gov. John C. West, has died.

Jack West says his mother died suddenly Tuesday morning at her home on Hilton Head Island.

West said his mother had suffered heart problems. He said a funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Camden.
