AUGUSTA, GA (WRDW) -- The pastor of Most Holy Trinity Parish has been named a 2014 Distinguished Pastor by the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA).

Father Jacek Szuster is set to accept the national award during a ceremony the association's annual convention April 22-24 in Pittsburgh. He will be one of seven pastors nationwide, chosen by the NCEA to receive the award this year

Award winners are selected on their spiritual leadership and support to their schools.

"In honoring these individuals, we acknowledge the many pastors who provide outstanding support to Catholic education throughout the United States," says Kathy Mears, executive director of the NCEA Elementary Schools Department.

The NCEA was founded in 1904 and is a professional membership organization with the goal to provide leadership, direction and service that will fulfill the evangelizing and teaching mission of church.
