AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Dominique Sullivan, 20, plead not guilty after the Richmond County Sheriff's Office said he accidentally shot and killed his friend.

Sullivan was indicted in early February on involuntary manslaughter, possession of a firearm during a crime and possession of a firearm by a first offender/probationer charges.

On November 11, 2013, the Richmond County Sheriff's Office responded to 2560 Andorra Drive to find 18-year-old Delarrion Smith with a gunshot wound to the chest. Smith later died from his injuries at GRU.

According to the sheriff's office, Smith pulled out a handgun and pointed it at Sullivan in a playful manner. Sullivan grabbed the gun and removed the magazine then pointed the gun at Smith and pulled the trigger believing the handgun was unloaded.

Sullivan was also indicted on three additional charges including armed robbery, possession of a firearm during a crime and possession of a firearm by a first offender/probationer.

Richmond County officials said the second set of indictments are from August 27, 2013 when they say Sullivan robbed a North Augusta man who answered a Craigslist ad for an iPhone.

The incident happened at a vacant house on Pine Hill Road, officials said. In all, Sullivan plead not guilty to six felony charges.
