AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The latest tuberculosis test results are in for students and staff at Butler High School.
Of the 242 people who were retested in January and February, 19 had positive skin tests. No clinical cases of tuberculosis were found.
Of the 578 people who were tested in October and November, 136 had positive skin tests, but only four were said to have clinical tuberculosis. Out of those four people, three had positive cultures.
It all started in October when one student was diagnosed with tuberculosis. At first, only those who had come into contact with the student were tested. Testing was later opened up to all students and staff members.
