Judge sets bond for woman accused of murdering father

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- A North Carolina judge is allowing an Augusta woman to get out of jail if she can meet a $2 million bond.

Crystal Howell is charged with killing her father, Michael Howell, in North Carolina. As of 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, she's still in jail.

Howell was arrested in Richmond County in March. Michael, who used to be sports editor for the Columbia County News-Times, was found shot and killed in a home he owned near Maggie Valley.
