AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- A murder suspect was not given bond because a judge said he is a threat to the community.
Daniell Frank Simmons, 26, is accused of shooting and killing 22-year-old Curtis Carter on Second Avenue on May 28. He's charged with murder, having a weapon during a crime, and being a convicted felon with a weapon.
Witnesses say that during a verbal altercation, Simmons fired several times at Carter with a handgun.
